Keep up the festive spirits this Christmas with a visit to our live stand-up comedy night. We’re hosting a night of fun on the 27th December – the perfect way to keep you going as the Christmas season draws to an end.
You’ll be creasing with laughter at the novelty acts we’ve got lined up, with professional comedians that have worked in the BBC, as well as with well-known popular acts such as Harry Hill, Michael McIntyre and Jimmy Carr. This is the perfect evening out for those of you who enjoy a giggle!
This year, December’s line-up begins with Andy Askins. A hilariously deceiving figure, Andy is diminutive and appears vulnerable – but proves otherwise when he steps up to the microphone. Having previously appeared at the prestigious Altitude Comedy Festival and worked with the likes of Alan Carr and Lee Evans, you could say that Andy has had a wealth of experience. Andy has also recently appeared on The John Bishop Show, whilst also being invited back to perform on BBC One’s festive edition. You’ll be guaranteed a barrel of laughs as you watch this talented comedian deliver his jokes.
Tom Glover, our next act, spends his time working as an MC and headliner in the South West. Regularly winning over his crowds, Tom has performed to audiences that range from students to the ladies of the WI, delivering his life stories, his opinions on the finer details of day-to-day life as well as funny accents and silly faces. You’ll also be entertained by Morgan Rees, a rising star of the UK circuit. A runner-up in ‘So You Think You’re Funny 2017’, Morgan’s snappy one-liners and genius short stories will be your fast pass to an evening of laughter.
Hosting the event will be our returning Compère, Ignacio Lopez. Since 2010, Ignacio has entertained and impressed audiences internationally, headlining in top comedy clubs across the UK. Private shows, military gigs and festivals are also amongst the many locations where Ignacio has imparted his wit and humour. Ignacio continued to rise in popularity through to 2015, where he sold out solo festival performances in UK cities that range from Edinburgh to Cardiff. Ignacio then produced and hosted a comedy series of his own in 2016, called ‘Comedy Sheep Stand-Up’ which aired on Made Television.
