Cheltenham Festival Preview Night

Posted: 18/02/2019 By: Cheryl Webber

Here at Kings Head, in celebration of the beginning of Cheltenham Festival, we’re holding an exclusive Cheltenham Festival Preview Night in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund. Following the success of the Preview night that we hosted last year, we’ve decided to open our doors again to festival fans who are keen to gain exclusive insight into this year’s event.

After being greeted by our friendly team with a welcome drink, you’ll observe a discussion held by some of the leading names in National Hunt – including top National Hunt jockey Adrian Heskin, ITV racing presenter Alice Fox-Pitt, multiple Cheltenham Festival winner and trainer, Nicky Henderson, and Ed Nicolson from Unibet. Our guests can experience expert discussions on all things racing and exclusive updates on the course ground conditions by Ben Hastie.

We’ll also be hosting a raffle on the night, in which many prizes can be won and are donated to us by the Injured Jockeys Fund. Guests will also have the chance to win a range of special prizes, including an overnight stay and breakfast for two with us at Kings Head, and two tickets to the Unibet Champion Hurdle Day (Tuesday 12th March). As this is a non-profit event, proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Injured Jockeys Fund; so you’ll be joining us for a good cause. After £2,000 in was raised for the charity last year, we want to boost this number with our contributions this year.

Our exclusive panel at Kings Head will be discussing a range of topics, such as the Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother’s Chase and the Gold Cup – so it’s definitely not one to be missed! As a guest, you’ll then be able to ask any burning questions you may have to the panel in an open Q&A following the expert talk. We’ll also be serving nibbles during the interval, which will include cheese and biscuits.

The Cheltenham Festival will be holding three to four races each day, including feature races that include the Stayers Hurdle and Ryanair Chase Race, the Champ Hurdle, Champ Chase and Gold Cup. Join us at Kings Head, 6.30pm, for an exclusive preview evening of the event, at just £15 per ticket. To book with us, please click here.
