At the Kings Head, we’re offering a unique theatre-themed break. We’ve partnered up with The Barn Theatre in Cirencester to offer the ultimate treat for those who love a theatre show. The latest showing, ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’, is one of the top 50 plays of all time – not one to be missed!
The tale, written by Jim Cartwright, tells the story of a Northern girl who has the ability to impersonate great singers – including Cilla Black and Marilyn Monroe. To find her voice in the world, she’ll have to conquer her heavily-drinking Mother and her unappealing talent agent boyfriend. This tragicomedy expresses love, despair and hope, and having won an Olivier Award, is definitely worth the watch.
The Barn Theatre welcomes theatre-lovers of all ages and all backgrounds. Boasting high-profile and new talent, each show at The Barn promises a fantastic performance to be enjoyed by all the family. Next door to the theatre is a tucked-away restaurant and piano bar, Teatro. Serving high quality food and drinks, this bar is the perfect place for a delicious meal or refreshing beverage before watching a show. During the summer months, guests can also enjoy their food and drinks outside in the stunning enclosed gardens.
