Nigel Price is one of those names in Jazz that everyone recognises - not just because he’s a brilliant and dedicated jazz guitarist, but also because he is a true champion for the art of jazz and particularly its grass roots needs and development. Nigel has toured the UK and Europe extensively as sideman, band leader and musical collaborator arranging epic tours with his own band (featuring Vasilis Xenopoulos) and wherever he goes, the music, with its energy and style is always excitedly applauded. However - this concert is something a little different for Nigel; he has agreed to go back to his roots and create a simple, yet captivating acoustic trio of guitar, double bass and drums. This line-up really allows each musician to shine, but especially Nigel on guitar - who is an exceptionally melodic player with a truly passionate sense of harmony.
